Celebration Cakes

We ask for a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice on our celebration cake orders. Some of our simple design cakes can sometimes be made with less notice depending on the number of orders in that week.

At any point we can increase the notice period or cut off orders, due to demand, staff shortages, stock shortages etc.

There may be some weeks we are able to accommodate more complex designs at shorter notice, although we cannot guarantee this, please contact us to see if we can accommodate your request.

Orders can be made over the phone (0161 767 9303) or in store. Due to the amount of personalised detail on our celebration cakes we do not accept orders through the website or e-mail. Additional information can be sent by e-mail such as photographs, once an order has been placed.

At the time of ordering we take a deposit of a third of the cost, if ordering over the phone this will be taken by debit or credit card. We cannot start a celebration cake without a deposit being placed on the order. We will ask you to provide a surname at the time of ordering, this and your collection date will be your order reference.

Paying this deposit is acknowledgement that this is non refundable, in the event of cancellation. If a cake has been completed or part completed further cost may be payable to cover the time and ingredients used.

Please note we are based in North Manchester and our celebration cakes are collection only.

If multiple items are ordered, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the full order is told to the collection staff as these may be stored in different areas.

Wedding Cakes

We ask for 6 – 8 weeks’ notice on our wedding cake orders.

If you require a cake and are unable to give this notice, there may be weeks due to workload that we are able to accommodate an order at shorter notice, although we cannot guarantee this. Please contact us to check.

You do not require an appointment to discuss your wedding cake; you are welcome to visit us at a time convenient to you during our opening times. We have a range of ideas on display in store, you are welcome to bring any ideas and designs and we will be happy to discuss with you options and quotes.

We do always have available samples of cake fillings that are: – a vanilla sponge, jam and buttercream, a chocolate sponge with chocolate fudge filling and a traditional fruit cake. If you have any other filling flavours you would like to try, we ask you to contact us a couple of days before your visit to ensure these will also be ready for you to sample.

It is easier to complete your wedding cake order in store, however if this is not possible orders can be made over the phone (0161 767 9303).

Gateaux and Desserts

We ask for 24 – 48 hours’ notice for our gateaux and dessert orders.

As we make these fresh on the day of pick up they may not always be ready from 9am when the shop opens, you will be advised of a collection time at the time of ordering.

As these are fresh cream products orders should be made to collect on the day of consumption. If you are unable to collect on the day it is best if you collect these frozen to defrost on the day of consumption. Please advise when ordering if you would like it frozen. Allow 3 – 4 hours, at cool room temperature to defrost (larger gateaux’s may take longer to defrost).

These cakes must be stored in a fridge, away from any strongly scented foods e.g. onions. To enjoy the product at its best please consume within one hour when taken out of the fridge.
